The MP who wants to outsmart the governor in Homa Bay County

Bandits in Baringo county have taken their joke too far by mocking the state security. It was expected that when the Deputy President William Ruto visited Bartabwa in Baringo county to address the residents on security matters everything was going to be ok.

Owing to the security the Deputy President is accorded no one could expect any security threat to Ruto but the bandits proved to Ruto’s security team that they are not respecters of persons.

This has raised questions on the might of the bandits and whether the common mwananchi is safe when the guarded state leaders’ lives feel threatened by the bandits.

Hours before the Deputy President visited the area the bandits struck at Chepkew village killing the area chief few meters from where Ruto was holding a meeting.

Ruto ordered a deployment of more than 250 police reservist in the area saying that the government is going to highly equip them so that they can fight the bandits and guarantee the residents their security.

The DP has ordered the police to shoot and kill any bandits that come into their vicinity in a bid to tame the roaming bandits that have raked havoc in the area.

Meanwhile, the bandits have so far killed nine people and caused a displacement of over two thousand people. They have also made close to forty school closed and hundreds of animals stolen.
