Don't remove speed bumps on Thika road

The recent proposal to have speed bumps on Thika road removed is totally misplaced. Many will argue that the multi-billion-shilling highway, just like any other highway, should be devoid of bumps.

However, the status quo should remain especially in a society that is miles away from achieving road-use discipline.

If the only way to compel us to regulate our driving speed is by erecting speed bumps, then so be it.

Removing the said bumps will provide an avenue for many hit and run incidents and fatal accidents.
