Why Raila’s Threats only Make Jubilee better

The on-going mass voter registration has allowed us to see a glimpse of how the forth- coming general election will be like.

The perception created that the opposition zones will harvest a majority of the new voters has been crushed within the past one week of President Uhuru’s energized drive across his strongholds.

This could well be the beginning of an epic tale of backfired propaganda that may etch itself into Kenyan political history.

This being an election year, there is heightened political tension across the country. There is a markedly rise in opposition driven propaganda aimed at discrediting the Jubilee government’s gains.

The mainstream media is awash with both layman and expert effort at whitewashing each and every government attempt at making strides towards fulfilling its promises.

It's baffling how highly ranked and respected experts like David Ndii can sink down to watering their previously banked on opinion for money and a nil chance at forming the next government.

Mr. Ndii, the much- respected economist, and newspaper columnist in the Saturday Nation has drawn images and illusions of grandeur; of stolen billions and gigantic projects that will allegedly not benefit the common man.

Recently at an opposition unity conference at Bomas of Kenya, David Ndii the key expert speaker finally came out of the closet laying to rest questions of who was calling the tune he is playing.

In his numerous trips across the country, Raila has perfected the art of playing underdog. He has equally tried very hard to be a modern day Robin Hood only that his hands are too soiled to proclaim sainthood.

In his propaganda rhetoric that is amplified by hundreds of his followers, Raila narrates of how Central Kenya and other Jubilee friendly areas boast of tarmacked roads, electricity connection, water, equipped hospitals, schools and all other modern day amenities.

In trying to draw the ire of his supporters, like the Russian film Rusky Vaprosk, the desired effect fails absolutely.

Instead of his followers picking arms and answer to his consistent calls for violence against innocent souls, they are asking questions albeit in hushed tones.

They now are demanding to know, why other places are better developed than their regions yet he (Raila) has been in government first as Minister of Energy in the Moi government, Minister of Roads in the Kibaki government and finally Prime Minister in the Grand Coalition Government.

His followers are questioning why he has worked hard to build personal wealth into the billions of shillings, yet there is no single existent flagship project that he has personally initiated towards poverty alleviation in Nyanza or even Kibera constituency that he represented for more than 20 years.

The more he dwells on propaganda the more he makes the perceived enemy look good in the eyes of his followers.
