My two cents on Size 8 and Willy Paul's song Tiga Wana

Allow me to use this space to throw my two cents about that Tiga Wana song. It’s Gospel, I hear. That there are people who are ‘lovin’ it’ and believe that Size 8 and Willy Pozze ‘slew it’, tells me our problems as a society are much bigger than we think.

Size 8 AKA Mama Wambo and Willy Paul, uhmm sorry, Willy Paul Msafi…oops! I meant Willy Pozze please feel free to call me judgmental, old fashioned, conservative and those adjectives people like you use on people like me- who call it as they see it.

Back to Tiga Wana and the way the pair of you is pushing it as gospel. I watched you on TV and at some point I wondered who you were trying to convince that the song is gospel: us or yourselves? Then came the moment I had seen coming from the get go: that ‘we are in the world but not of the world’ line and how we need artistes whose message is ‘relevant’ to the young minds! They must have given you a standing ovation in hell! Marketing 101 is what I call it! First, how long do you intend to conveniently stay warped in that time- zone?

If your child was acting, bubbling words, living on milk only like a 1 year old at the age of 5, wouldn’t you run to get medical attention faster than you can say Tiga Wana? So then how come it’s so OK to be so stunted spiritually? You know what’s interesting about you two is that the songs you sang when you were much younger in salvation made more sense! Can you compare Afadhali Yesu or Sitolia to this Tiga Wana thingy?

Second; the “lost generation” you were talking about on TV( the one that according to you ‘relates’ to Tiga Wana’) needs people who tell them this is hard, but we are making it; that you can follow Christ as an 18-year-old and with His help make it through. That’s what they need! Not some fellow who is so hell- bent on being the Diamond Platnumz, of this genre you guys call ‘gospel’ it’s sickening!

Twendelee na Tiga Wana… I’m not perfect but I read Scripture and it says “… therefore not being ignorant of the works/ schemes of the enemy…” ignorance is not only costly, it is dangerous! To say that you can piga devo na bakora; is partly laughable and partly pitiful! If we only need a bakora to sort the devil out; then what did Jesus die for? When you tell the devil to ‘Tiga Wana’ may be- just maybe you should have read the book of Job and see the depths to which the devil can go to cause mayhem in a person’s life. The guy was reduced to nothing. His wealth, his children all gone! Even his own wife told him to ‘curse God and die!’ If only back in those days there was this “hit” Tiga Wana- I bet Job and his three buddies would have broken into song and dance or like the other “hit” song goes, wangecheza ni kama wamepigwa na radi!

Do you realize that as the angels were presenting themselves before God, huyo Devil was in the line-up and when asked by God where he’s been he talked about the upright man Job and asked God to remove his protection over Job so he could pursue him? Huyo ndio Devil Willy Paul unatuambia tukapige na bakora ama ni mwingine wa hii generation yenu mpya? Nauliza tu!

Here is the bottom line: God is Most High and All powerful and that is not in doubt. But please, do not make the foolish and yes, costly mistake of thinking the devil is your play mate- and that is why we need to be under the shadow of God’s wing; where the devil can do us no harm. That’s why Jesus said without Him we can do nothing- no matter how many bakoras you have Mr. Willy Pozze and Mama Wambo!
