Why most campus guys like living alone

Is it at their own pleasure? Need for privacy? To avoid ‘kuchapwa’ exile? Or is it to escape the daily duties of a must clean up service? Factual deeds drive one to consider a better being of themselves.

It was one of the finest days of the week after classes and had to visit one of the alluring friend in the varsity hoods. Surprisingly, on opening the door, trust me when I say I was knocked out of my senses.

First was a poignant smell that hugged my nose rather than a sweet hug from the composed guy. Ironically I was flabbergasted by the hug. Stepping inside, I had to scrub my eyes to know whether it’s a carpet or a maroon floor. I guess I was color blind. Just a few steps away, a pile of dirty dishes soaked in equally dirty water lay desperately waiting for a hand to free them. Next to the dishes were the nasty looking socks tossed anyhow beside the bed.

I walked through to grab a seat because the bed was not yet spread and obviously where could I have sat…? Little did I know the seat acted as a dining table two days ago I would have preferred the wanting bed. Anyway I sat cool, calm and collected trying to take a breath of fresh air from the window. While chatting but laughing up the sleeve, a pungent smell of soaked cloth jangled through to my nerves. I guess it was long forgotten under the bed. Another pile of dirty cloths stared at me like I was the laundry service. All in all, the room was stuffy. I was uncomfortable waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I kept wondering where clean clothes are imported for the whole week. The room was in a perfect condition to breed micro-comrades. That kept me thinking of the 'other' group if such was from such a composed guy. I learned not to judge a book by its cover after the scenario. Supposedly the higher learning should be involving higher hygiene in the curriculum.

Vulnerability to diseases is high at such site. Only that when we know the whole scope of the problem, then we come up with a comprehensive solution. Come out and live together!
