I can’t imagine the pain you go through; sacrificing a lot for a girl you love, with the intention of marrying. It must hurt like a bullet through the heart that doesn’t kill but just torments with its unceasing pain.
What wrong do you ever do that once they cross the intellectual line, you suddenly become something of bull crap? I think it’s a classic example of love not being buyable. She feels like your are trying to buy her love and probably seeks someone who won’t try to buy her love.
