The 7th African Scouts Jamboree set to begin

It has so happened again that scouting has been the reason to bring the entire continent together. Over 30 African countries all with their contingent teams and their participants are heading to Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire. The 7th African Scouts Jamboree themed 'Empowered youth in an emerging Africa' is termed as the biggest scout event in the continent. It has been scheduled to start on 1st of August 2016 and is estimated to bring over 7000 scouts from across the entire continent.

These young scouts come together to share their vast experiences, ensure togetherness, enrich their diversity, learn team work, appreciate the different cultures and above all learn to be better men and women for the coming society. We prepare for the future by investing on the young generation and that is what the Scouting Movement strives to make of every member of the movement.

The National scout’s organization for Ivory Coast, better known locally as Federation Ivoirienne du scoutisme, was happy to be hosting the event. With everything they have done to prepare for the event, they promised it was going to be one of the best experiences for the young people. They did not hesitate to appreciate The African Scouts bureau office that is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya for the unwavering support in the fulfillment of their scouts mandate this year.
