This is why teenagers are engaging in early sex

The rate at which teenagers are engaging in sex is worrying.  It has gone to the level of them killing each other for sex. On Thursday 7th July 2016; a 13-year-old boy stubbed an 11-year-old girl seven times because she refused his sexual advances.

Why the hell will a 13-year-old boy want to engage in sex? Isn’t he so young to think let alone have sex? That is the question many people are asking themselves now.

The level at which children want to engage in sex is really rising, but why is it so? Lately, in this digital era children are exposed to so much sexual content. Sex is everywhere from television to the internet.

Anyone who thinks about it can get it on the internet, just google it and you will get it. This is one of the main reasons why teenagers want to engage in sex. They get pornographic content on the internet and want to copy what they see.

Parents are also in the loose when it comes to child control. Right now you will not be surprised to find a 6-year-old child with a phone. Parents tend to love their children too much to deny them anything they may ask.

Also most parents, both moms and dad, are working and thus no much time to monitor what their children see or do. They leave the children under house maids who mostly do not care much about children. For them, as long as they are quiet and are not disturbing her, then they are okay, they don’t care what has made them that quiet.

Another reason why teenagers are engaging in sex is peer pressure. Teenagers receive a lot of pressure from their peers. One who has engaged in this act will always pressurize the other to go and try out. If you refuse, then you will be marked as weak or coward, and believe you me, no teenage wants to be looked down upon by others. They are ready to do anything just to look good and belong with their friends.

These are just but a few reasons why teenagers are engaging in sex. If there is a way in which these reasons could be resolved, then maybe these cases may reduce. Unwanted pregnancies, STIs, HIV and deaths may also reduce.
