Over over half a million Kenyans join Atheists club; More Christians are turning their back on God

The number of Kenyans who do not believe in God has grown so much that they no longer operate in secret. Today, they stand at over half a million, in a country where 90 per cent of the population consider themselves Christians.

When they sought official recognition in 2016, religious leaders ganged up and opposed registration of atheists as a minority group. The argument was that recognition of atheists could affect peace and good order.
