Folding duvet covers and pillow cases are relatively trivial tasks that require little thought.

But trying to tame your fitted sheets is a slightly more challenging chore.

The pesky elasticated edges makes it almost impossible to fold without it looking like a mess.

Although we all attempt to tidy them away neatly, we're all guilty of throwing them in the nearest cupboard in a bundled heap

But not anymore, as a woman has revealed how to fold a fitted sheet in under 30 seconds.

Kristina has since been labelled a 'Queen' for the simple hack which guarantees perfectly folded sheets every time.

As she demonstrates the folding technique, she says: "Grab your bottom corners and turn them inside out, tuck them inside of your top two corners.

"Shake it out to ensure a nice even fold.

"Put the sheet back on the table with the elastic facing in making a square shape.

"Take the top and fold it over, smoothing out as you go.

"Bring the bottom to the top, bring the outside edges to meet in the centre."

Then all that's left to do is fold the entire thing in half and you're good to go.

Since being posted to TikTok it has been viewed 15,000 times, received almost 2,000 likes and tens of comments from fans praising her life-saving idea.

One person said: "Honestly had no idea how to fold one of these until now."

Another added: "Yassssss queeeeeen!!! Thank you!"

A third said: "You're an angel!"

And: "I've done the same thing for over 50 years" admitted a fourth.

If you didn't have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
