My wife is available to all, says man

A middle-aged man from Kerugoya town has astonished his family and neighbours by allowing his wife to engage in extra-marital affairs with other men.

The announcement, which he made to the members of the public a few days ago was unheard of in the area. Shocked residents revealed that the man, identified only as Chomba, had been “sat on”, a euphemism for being hen-pecked, for a long time.

His wife had been involved in numerous fights with other women in the town on allegations that she was having affairs with their husbands. In their marriage of seven years, the two had separated many times because of the woman’s unfaithfulness only to reconcile again.

Incidentally, each time she ran away to her parents, she would leave behind their two children, aged six and four. Chomba, who is a businessman would find it hard balancing between work and caring for the children and would beg the wife to return.

One day Chomba announced to all and sundry that his wife was available to any interested man, after neighbours alerted him of a stranger in his house. A crowd of enraged men, women and children rushed to his business premises barely a kilometre to let him know.

They wanted to beat up the woman for her wayward behaviour. But Chomba shocked them with his dismissal of the incident.

“There is no need to fight. I have allowed her to do whatever she likes,” he said in a tone of resignation.

“Thank you for your concern friends, but can you please give me freedom. Let me repeat that my wife is free to do whatever she desires. Her body is hers, not mine…” he said.

They shook their heads to show their disagreement with him.
