Cash awards for KCB Micro Banking Rally in Nyeri

Following this week’s branding recce, spectators can now brace up for hair-raising thrills.

There is renewed exhilaration triggered by cash awards that should encourage high-octane action in the Rallye Sports Club (RSC)-organised event.

The event opens the eight-leg Kenya National Rally Championship series in Nyeri and the Mount Kenya region on the February 4-5 weekend.

Sylvia King, the Kenya Motor Sports Federation sponsorship liaison, took sponsors through a comprehensive branding recce at Ruringu Stadium and the host hotel, the Green Hills, which will be the venue for overnight perc ferme. John Njiru, the Manager of Green Hills, also took sponsors through a good walk-around of the Hotel which hosts Rally Headquarters.

Present during the function were communication sponsors iWay Africa, Highlands Mineral Water Limited and Car Track who will be monitoring all rally cars from the rally HQs at Green Hills in real time. ALS will be providing chopper services for safety purposes.

Meanwhile, drivers and navigators have every reason to smile after RSC announced cash incentives for crews.

Fly 540- through its CEO and rally driver Mr Don Smith- have offered stage winners in all divisions and categories cash awards. This will include Division 1, 2, 3, the Classic Car Cup and the 2WD championship.

Mount Kenya Tourist Circuit Association have also pledged to sponsor one competitive section as well as running a raffle to offer crews 12 hotel vouchers for use within the Mt Kenya region. The Association is the principal voice of tourism industry in Mt. Kenya region and endears to impress the area as a world-renowned tourist destination.
