TV host Julie Gichuru has responded to the #FallOfJulieGichuru trend that ran on Twitter Tuesday 12th April where she was accused of being biased and that a betting company she is affiliated to,  wasn’t being fair.

The Africa Leadership Dialogues host simply brushed off the haters acknowledging fans who had come to her defense; ” OH! So humbled & thankful to you all #IStandWithJulie Nimezoea hawa watu wa chuki, uongo na domo but it is heartwarming to feel the love.”

In another post on her Twitter account, she said that hate was something she had always expected:  “#LifeLessons Know & love the Lord. When they try to knock you, He lifts you up. The more they hate, the more love you receive”

One blogger had earlier accused Julie of “Sanitizing the corrupt”.

Cyprian, Is Nyakundi ‏@C_NyaKundiH: #FallOfJulieGichuru Julie Gichuru legacy is well known. Sanitizing and doing PR for the corrupt

Another section of the online users came to Julie’s rescue with #IStandWithJulieGichuru trend to counter the ‘hate’ messages.

Rose atieno ‏@MissRatieno i have always admired the brains behind the  Africa dialogue program #IStandWithJulieGichuru

Khaniri :  #IStandWithJulieGichuru for the amazing and inspiring woman she is @JulieGichuru

Abana Safaris ‏@AbanaSafaris : The fuss about @C_NyaKundiH  and @JulieGichuru  is fascinating! Drop #IStandWithJulieGichuru  and the #FallOfJulieGichuru  and build Kenya!
