American boxer Yvonne Reis — who knocked out ailing Kenyan boxer Conjestina Achieng in 2009, a bout that ended Conjestina’s well-decorated career — is in Kenya.

Speaking to MondayBlues from Mombasa where she had dinner with members of the Coastal Films Production led by Hassan Faisal, Reis was moved to tears after getting reports that Conjestina was in bad health. She faulted the Government for neglecting Conjestina in her hour of need, even after winning the country accolades across the world through her illustrious boxing career.

“I recall how prolific she was during our fight. I would like to help out and I need someone to tell me how I can assist Conjestina out of her bad health,” Reis told MondayBlues.
