Kenya Police win National Boxing League for a record sixth time

Defending champions Kenya Police have retained the title for the sixth consecutive year after winning the final leg of the National Boxing League that ended at Kosawo Social Hall in Kisumu this evening.

Police won the final leg of the league with 32 points ahead of Nairobi County who tied with hosts Kisumu with seven points apiece for a distant second.

Kibra came fourth with five points ahead of Githurai 44’s four points followed by Mbaraki three, Vihiga two while Laikipia, Nakuru, Kongowea, Siaya, Kenyatta National Hospital and Trans Nzoia finished with a point each respectively.

As a result, the policemen retained the title with a total of 152 points ahead of KDF 98, Nairobi County 37, Kenya Prisons 27, Kibra 15, Kisumu 12 and Nakuru 10.

Others were Vihiga 9 as Siaya, Githurai 44 and Laikipia tied with eight points to finish in the ninth position apiece.
