St Anthony’s Boys School Kitale on Saturday was held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man College George The Fox Kagarama (CGFK) of Rwanda as the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) games start to pick up the pace in Rwanda.

Kitale who saw off Dagoretti High School 2-0 to win the national gong after four years were hoping highly rated forward Adrine Kibet continues with his fine form but they found the going tough.

The KSSSA national football Most Valuable Player scored two goals in the finals against Dagoretti and in their 1-0 semis win against Shanderema but could not find space against 10 men in Huye.

At the same time, Western Region champions Shanderema Secondary School were no match for Amus College School from Uganda.

Shanderema who finished third during their debut at the Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) national games played in Kakamega last week lost 2-0 to Amus College School.

Allan Oyirwoth scored a brace to lead Amus to victory in Group A which also has St Anthony’s Kitale, CGFK, St Henry’s Kitovu, and Kalangalala Secondary School.

On Friday, Kenya’s third representative Dagoretti High School lost 2-0 to Ecose Musambura from Rwanda.

The three Kenyan teams must now win on Monday to stand a chance of qualifying for the semifinals.
