Jesse Lingard has called for Manchester United fans to keep the faith ahead of a huge couple of days for the club.

Manchester United's players were back in training on Wednesday as they look to end their alarming slump.

The Red Devils were thrashed 3-0 by Tottenham at Old Trafford as storm clouds gather over boss Jose Mourinho.

United now face Burnley on Sunday in what already appears to be a must-win encounter for boss Mourinho.

They could find themselves nine points off the pace with another defeat and head into the international break amid huge uncertainty over Mourinho's future.

Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo were among those to arrive at Carrington for training on Wednesday.

Boss Mourinho also appeared to be driven in although he was not sat in his regular seat.

Lingard, who was one of the better performers in the defeat to Spurs, took to social media to send a message to United fans.

"Stay positive and keep the faith," Lingard posted alongside the hashtag #UnitedTogether.

Mourinho is again likely to make changes at Turf Moor amid more defensive concerns.

Phil Jones limped off with a hamstring injury after an error-strewn display and is set to miss out.

Chris Smalling also failed to cover himself in glory while Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly have not impressed this term.

Marcos Rojo could be brought back in from the cold for the clash with Burnley.
