Chinese side Meixian Techand hand their players Sh410million EACH for promotion to the second tier

Players posed with the mound of cash presented to them as a bonus

Players from Chinese third-tier side Meixian Techand were so delighted with the £3m [Sh413, 290,080] bonuses they received for achieving promotion that they posed for selfies next to wads of cash.

The team are still one division below the mega-rich Chinese Super League , but that didn't stop club bosses for rewarding them handsomely for their achievements.

Meixian Techand achieved promotion to China League One with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Shenzhen Ledman on Sunday, with a solitary strike from Ye Weichao securing a 1-0 second leg win.

Sports Illustrated report that each player received £3m in bonuses, with more on offer if they were to reach the top flight, which features the game's highest-paid player Carlos Tevez.

One player grinned as he leaned on the wads of cash, while another could barely contain his delight as he counted it up.

The snaps echo those of boxer Floyd 'Money' Mayweather, who regularly poses with huge wads of cash in his Instagram photos.
