Kenyan ‘Messi’ signs for Sporting Lisbon

Mohamed Ramadhan alias Messi Agege has signed a three-year contract with Portugal’s top-tier club Sporting Lisbon.

Agege will have to wait until December, when he will be 18 when the deal will be completed officially.

The 17-year-old Mombasa youngster, has been playing for Aspire Football Academy.

Aspire Academy was founded in 2004 in Qatar, with the goal to find and develop the best young male Qatari athletes, whilst also providing them with high quality secondary school education.

The Academy recruit several teenagers from Africa and sponsor them to the Middle East country.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo played for Sporting Lisbon before joining Manchester United at the age of 18.

Sporting Lisbon will play Champions league football after finishing third in Portugal’s Primiera Liga, after Benfica and FC Porto in 16/17 season.
