Benfica keeper Ederson due to have Manchester City medical

Ederson is due in Manchester today for contract talks and a medical ahead of his proposed move to Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.

The Benfica man is set to become the most expensive keeper of all time after Pep Guardiola agreed a £35m deal.

Ederson talked up the move yesterday after the Portuguese Cup final.

The Brazilian said: “I still don’t know, but this was probably my last game for Benfica.

Benfica coach Rui Vitoria expects Ederson to be sold and said: “If Ederson leaves, he leaves with the gratitude of Benfica.

“He will always carry Benfica’s name everywhere.”
