Former Bolton Wanderers star Ivan Klasnic is set to under-go life-saving kidney transplant.

Ivan Klasnic first suffered kidney failure back in 2007 and has had to deal with the condition several times.

He has been spending three days a week on dialysis in hospital, while he waits for a new organ.

He still plays football once a week in between his treatment sessions.

Last September he revealed that he has been trying to get on with life as normal with his nine-year-old daughter Fabianna as he picks her up from school, cooks for her and helps her with homework.
