Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho makes up with Diego Costa after public bust-up

Jose Mourinho claimed he and Diego Costa kissed and made up after their public bust-up at Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Mourinho clashed with his striker during Chelsea’s 4-0 Champions League win against the ten-man Israelis .

The Special One said: “I wanted him to make a certain movement that he didn’t. I was disappointed that he didn’t and I reacted.

“He did too. At half-time in the dressing room, a few kisses and a few cuddles. No problem.”

An ankle injury for John Terry, who was carried off on a stretcher and is now set to miss Sunday’s trip to Spurs, also took the shine off Chelsea’s win.

Mourinho, who also lost Ramires after he picked up an injury in training, claimed Maccabi’s dodgy pitch was to blame.

The Blues boss said: “The pitch was really bad. For John to leave the pitch with the score at 1-0, I know already that he’s in trouble.

"My medical department is really good. John is a special guy with a special desire to recover.

"But to leave the pitch with the result 1-0, I don’t believe too much that he can play (against Spurs)."
