MAN UNITED: De Gea to stay, at least for now

David de Gea has confirmed he will be staying in Manchester - for now, at least. The 24-year-old Spanish keeper told reporters he will join his United teammates in pre-season training.

Sadly for United fans, he may not be around for long. The Madrid-born player remains determined to force through a move to the Bernabeu, but both clubs are at odds as to a suitable transfer fee. United want a world record price of at least £33m for their two-time player of the season, but Real are determined to pay less - particularly since he has just one year left on his contract.

Sergio Ramos's potential move in the other direction further complicates matters. De Gea put his Greater Manchester mansion up for sale recently, fuelling rumours of an imminent move. But it appears these may have been premature.
