‘A crock who never gets a game for Dortmund’: Jamie Carragher slams Man utd target Ilkay Gundogan

German international Ilkay Gundogan is reportedly closing in on a summer move to Old Trafford... but Carragher has mocked the 23-year-old

Jamie Carragher has opinions on lots of things. It's what makes him a good pundit.

He's not afraid to rub people up the wrong way... as demonstrated by his latest proclamations on Manchester United's transfer policy.

Carragher took to Twitter to brand Borussia Dortmund player Ilkay Gundogan a "crock" after the German was linked with a £20m move to Manchester United.

Carragher was responding to Sky Sports colleague Gary Neville when he made the remark.

"Looks like your [United are] signing a crock who can't get a game for Dortmund," he wrote.

Carra may wish to check his facts, however: Gundogan has made 27 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side this season.
