Luis Suarez set to return to Liverpool

Some of the world's best players are set to descend on Anfield later this month for a special charity match.

Two 'All-Star' line-ups will face each other on Sunday March 29, with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher as captains.

The event has been organised by Liverpool's official charity, the Liverpool FC Foundation, and the proceeds will be help to fund community programmes which benefit thousands of young people and adults throughout the city.

Players already confirmed for the event include ex-Kop stars Luis Suarez, Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres.

Current Premier League players such as John Terry and Didier Drogba have also signed up to compete.

Current Reds' first-team players who are not on international duty will also play some part, as well as some of the Academy's brightest stars.

Gerrard will leave Liverpool at the end of the season after agreeing a switch to the MLS with LA Galaxy.

Tickets for the event, priced at £20 adults and £5 juniors, are initially on sale to Kop season ticket holders before going on general sale.
