Fabregas accused of punching a bus

He has 15 assists to his name already this season, but Cesc Fabregas now runs the risk of having his 2014/15 season more fondly remembered for ‘that time he started a fight with a double-decker bus’.

According to reports, London bus driver Martin Hughes claims that last Wednesday lunchtime, Chelsea star Fabregas cut in front of his number 93 bus and forced the service onto the kerb in his Aston Martin Vanquish.

The reports go on to say that Mr. Hughes responded by beeping his horn, which prompted the Spain international to hurl obscenities in his direction.

Mr. Hughes claims that he then left the bus to confront Fabregas, at which point he tapped the window of the luxury automobile and told the player: “I know you and I’ve got it all on camera – and by the way, you’re a **** footballer”.

By Hughes’ account, Fabregas then drove off before quickly stopping in his tracks, exiting the vehicle and punching the bus on the windscreen.

Mr Hughes said there was no damage to the bus, and added he had reported the incident to bosses who were investigating.

While this is precisely the sort of story you expect to find in a publication such as this, representatives for the player have been contacted for his side of the story, so it’s hopefully not long before we find out how true all of this is.

And should it turn out that it actually happened (or perhaps even if it was all cobblers), we can just imagine the sort of chants rival fans will create for such an insane story.
