Manchester United confident of signing Clyne

MANCHESTER: Louis van Gaal is confident of wrapping up a £15million deal for Nathaniel Clyne in the summer.

Southampton’s England right-back Clyne is top of Manchester United’s hit-list and they believe they will get their man.

Clyne has 18 months left on his deal at the Saints, but they face a major battle to keep him as the Old Trafford giants look to bolster their defence.

Van Gaal wants new faces at right-back and centre-half, and Clyne looks set for United having chosen Southampton over them when he left Crystal Palace three seasons ago.
