Acting Kenya Swimming Federation (KSF) president Patrick Muya is dead.
Confirming the sad news via its official social media pages on Tuesday, KSF described Muya as a committed and service worker who was passionate about sports.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our Acting President Mr Patrick K. Muyah,” read the tweet.
“We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Mr Muyah served the sport with dedication for over 30years.
“His commitment and service to sports in Kenya is appreciated and will be sorely missed. May his Soul Rest in Peace.”

Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed also led the sports fraternity in mourning the veteran administrator.
Amina said Muya played a major role in building and strengthening swimming in Kenya and his impact will be largely missed.
“It is with deep sadness that I have learnt of the passing on of Mr Patrick Muyah, the Ag. President of the Kenya Swimming Federation. Patrick was an outstanding sports administrator who played a major role in building and strengthening swimming in Kenya,” said Amina.
“On behalf of the Ministry and the entire Sports fraternity, I convey our condolences to friends, family and the Kenya Swimming Federation. May His Soul Rest in Peace.”
