Fifth will face second as Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in what is expected to be a mouth-watering Premier League clash.
Since appointing new manager Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea are unbeaten in eight consecutive matches and have recently picked up the pace – a dramatic win away to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League testimony of how brilliant they have become.
Manchester United, on the other hand, boast a month-long unbeaten run in all competitions but face the challenge of closing the 10-point gap on Premier League leaders and ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City, who made it 20 straight wins win a 2-1 win against West Ham.
Thiago Silva will miss in Chelsea’s backline after picking up a thigh injury against Tottenham earlier this month.
“Thiago cannot play on Sunday. He did an individual session today, on the pitch, and it was big progress and step ahead upfront for him so I hope he will join the group next week,” Tuchel said.
Solskjaer’s men could miss the services on Scott McTominay in midfield following his withdrawal in the 4-0 win away at Real Sociedad in the Europa League. The Scotland international also missed the second leg.
Edinson Cavani is also a huge doubt for the fixture, with Frenchman Paul Pogba a definite absentee due to a thigh injury. Donny van de Beek could make a return after sitting out of the last two fixtures.
Here are the predicted line-ups according to Standard Sports.
Chelsea: Mendy, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, James, Kovacic, Kante, Alonso, Mount, Abraham, Werner.
Manchester United: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Bailly Shaw, Fred, Matic, Rashford, Fernandes, Martial, James.
The match kicks off at 7:30 East African Time (EAT).
