Fear of end day as huge mountain collapses and crumbles into dust

The dramatic landslide happened in Qingcheng Mountain in South West China.

Officials say it happened following heavy downpours in the area.

Incredibly, despite the ferocity of the landslide, no casualties were reported in the area following the incident on Tuesday.

As the mountain collapses, motorists watching nearby can be heard shouting out.

Following the dramatic incident, it took about twenty hours for workers to clear the debris from the road.

Pictures from the scene afterwards show how the road was completely blocked by heavy rocks.
