David Simiyu struck at the death as KCB narrowed the gap between them and leaders Tusker to four points after fighting from a goal down to defeat Ulinzi Stars in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League match played at Thika Stadium on Wednesday.

Masita Masuta had given the soldiers a narrow 1-0 halftime lead before Derrick Otanga restored parity for KCB on 53rd minute from the spot.

The bankers would seal all maximum points after Simiyu’s trickery in the soldiers' box opened a chance for him to score the winner in the 90th minute.

KCB are now on 51points, four behind leaders Tusker and with a game in hand. Ulinzi remain 10th on 34 points.

The bankers, who are chasing their maiden league title, have the opportunity to close the gap to within one point when they play their game in hand.

Meanwhile, Vihiga United relegation woes continued after they played to a barren draw against Nairobi City Stars.

The draw leaves Vihiga second last in the standings with 17 points, four points off the safety zone. City Stars remain sixth with 38 points.

Nzoia Sugar also played to a 0-0 draw against Posta Rangers, a result that leaves them static in the log at position 14th and 13th respectively.
