Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet was pictured appearing to break down in tears while leaving the Camp Nou in his car after he conceded a late penalty in side's 1-1 draw with La Liga minnows Cadiz.

The Catalan giants were back in action for the first time since their disastrous 4-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.

And they looked to be heading towards a much-needed morale-boosting victory after a Lionel Messi penalty gave them the lead in the first half.

But Lenglet's clumsy challenge in the box in the final minute of normal time allowed Cadiz's Alex Fernandez to equalise from the spot.

It means Barcelona remain eight points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid in third position in the table.

And Lenglet was clearly left devastated by his costly error.

Supporters surrounding his car filmed the player as he drove away from the stadium.

And he held up an apologetic hand towards them before covering his face with his hand, and was visibly highly emotional.

With controversy surrounding the club both on and off the pitch it has been a difficult season for Barcelona.

And Lenglet may well be feeling the effects of it as the pressure appears to be taking its toll.

Barca manager Ronald Koeman was furious with the dropped points at full-time, and went as far as to say it was a result which was even more painful to take than the thrashing by PSG.

"We have to win these types of games," he said. "We have failed to take advantage of a huge chance to get back into (the) La Liga (title race) after Atletico Madrid's defeat.

"I am very very disappointed, more than I was last Tuesday."

Barca are next in action on Wednesday as they host Elche before a tricky-looking game away against high-flying Sevilla the following Saturday.
