David De Gea warned 'it's only a matter of time' before he loses Man United place

Graeme Souness has guaranteed there are “rumblings” amongst Manchester United's outfield players about David De Gea’s position in the team.
De Gea’s position as United’s No.1 has come under threat this season, with Dean Henderson returning from his loan spell with Sheffield United.
Henderson came back to Old Trafford with hopes of replacing De Gea in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting line-up.
Up until this point, he has been restricted to just three Premier League appearances and starts in the cup competitions.
But De Gea is coming off the back of two mistakes in United’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Everton, leaving some to question whether a change could be made.
Sky Sports pundit Souness suggested it is only a matter of time until Henderson comes in for the Spaniard, with error’s impacting Solskjaer’s side of a title challenge.
“I’m a fan of his,” he said of Henderson. “I think it’s only a matter of time. If you look at Sheffield United’s play, he’s the single biggest reason they are where they are.
“For Man United, De Gea is making mistakes that as a manager you can only tolerate for so long.
“If your goalkeeper is making mistakes that impacts on the rest of the team and you can bet from the outfield players there’s rumblings about De Gea. Guaranteed.”
De Gea was handed the start for United’s clash with West Brom, but before their trip to The Hawthorns, Solskjaer admitted it was becoming more difficult to leave out his understudy.
"I think the whole squad knows and everyone knows they have to perform to be in the team. We have I would say at least two players in every position that would feel that ‘I am a first choice’ and the keeper position is no different to the right-back, left-back or centre-forward position," he said.
"It’s about your performances and what you give to the team. So I am in a very fortunate position to have the goalkeeper department that I do have and it was a conscious decision obviously to bring Dean back to have real competition in that position as well.
"And Dean has made it harder and harder for me, of course, to leave him out because whenever he plays he does really well."
