Arsenal goalkeeper set to quit in favour of Besiktas

David Ospina is edging towards the Arsenal exit with Besiktas his likeliest move.

The Colombian is likely to be behind Petr Cech and Bernd Leno in the pecking order at the Emirates.

After a fine World Cup in Russia, Ospina will need first team football and reports in Turkey claim Ospina is Besiktas' No.1 target after losing Fabri to Fulham.

Espanyol star David Lopez is an alternative for the Turkish giants, but Ospina would represent a potential bargain.

At 29 years old and with plenty of football left in him, Arsenal will likely sell at a modest price given he is now surplus to requirements.

Arsenal are locked in talks with Sevilla over midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.

The France World Cup winner has been a long-time target of the Gunners and has a €40m release clause in his contract.

However, France Football claim the north Londoners are attempting to lower the asking price for the former Blackburn and Stoke star.

N'Zonzi played under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery before the Spanish coach left for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 29-year-old was a regular during Emery's time at Sevilla, scoring four goals in 47 games, and was a member of their Europa League-winning side.

Lucas Torreira has confirmed he will link up with his new Arsenal team-mates for pre-season training as soon as next week.

The Uruguayan midfielder joined the Gunners from Sampdoria for £22million in the summer transfer window, after representing his nation at the World Cup.
