Kenya's U-20 national women's team play Ghana today in the Women World Cup second round qualifier at Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana from 5pm.

The Caroline Ajowi-led side is just two rounds shy from the global show-piece set for next year.

It won't be an easy task for the national side considering the kind of opponents they are facing.

Ghana took part in the last edition of World Cup held in Jordan but failed to qualify to the knockout stage and they will be seeking for nothing but a comfortable win at home.

The hosts have a good footballing history not only in the junior category and this will boost their confidence in the tie.

Kenya goes to this encounter as underdogs and with the absence of some players who did well in the previous qualifying campaign, it will be a tall order and picking a point from the fixture will be crucial ahead of the return leg.

To the second round, Ghana outclassed North Africans, Algeria 10-0 on aggregate while Kenya sneaked with a 4-3 aggregate win over Ethiopia.

Corazone Aquino has been an instrumental player in the squad. The midfielder who also features for the senior team,Harambee Starlets has scores two goals in the qualifying campaign and her command at the middle of the park will be key in this fixture.

Aquino's technical ability on the ball and the long articulate shots from outside the box will spice up Kenya's middle park.

Wincate Kaari who acts as the co-captain to Aquino is expected to shine in the fullback position providing balls to the goal area. [Rebecca Jebet]
