Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes Victor Wanyama should be signed by Manchester United despite the club being heavily linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier.

Tottenham have already cashed in on Kyle Walker this summer, with the right-back moving to Manchester City in an eye-catching deal that could stretch to £50 million earlier this month. The next player tipped for the exit door is Dier, with United reportedly considering a move for the England international.

Speaking to reports recently Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has questioned why United aren't considering a move for Wanyama.

"If Man United are after anyone, why don't they go for Wanyama?" 47-year-old Cundy asked, speaking on TalkSPORT's Sunday morning Weekend Sports Breakfast show. "He is a Jose Mourinho-type player."

Wanyama was signed by Tottenham from Southampton last summer, moving to White Hart Lane in an £11 million deal.

The Kenya international made 36 Premier League appearances, of which 35 were starts, scoring four goals and contributing one assist.
