Ronaldo reacts angrily to Gareth Bale scoring for Real Madrid

It seems all is not well at Real Madrid, despite the club getting back on track with victory over Levante at the Bernabeu.

A double for Gareth Bale returned Carlo Ancelotti's side to winning ways, but his first goal, coming from a rebound from Cristiano Ronaldo's acrobatic effort, seemed to leave the Portuguese superstar miffed.

He threw his arm into the air after watching Bale net the opener, and the Welshman deflecting Ronaldo's goalbound effort in for his second probably won't have improved his mood.

Bale hit back at his critics after scoring his first goal, covering his ears with his hands and kicking over the corner flag.

The former Tottenham man came under particular scrutiny from the Bernabeu crowd in Madrid's midweek defeat to Schalke in the Champions League.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti said of Bale afterwards: “I saw a more motivated Bale, more desire. But the whole team had more desire and concentration today. Everyone understood what we had to do and what we have to do on Sunday.

“The influence of Modric is positive, it gives Bale more chances to enter the game.

"They played together at Tottenham, he is definitely more comfortable with Modric [on the field].”
