Kenya and the European Union (EU) bloc on Monday finally signed a new bilateral deal that will boost trade between the two regions whose controversial negotiations have been years in the making.

The Kenya deal is the culmination of trade talks between the EU and the East African Community (EAC) that started over a decade ago.
