Kariobangi Sharks moved third in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League standings after coming from behind to defeat Ulinzi Stars 3-2 in a five-goal thriller match played at the Kasarani Annex that hosted a doubleheader on Sunday.

The second match saw Kakamega Homeboyz who lost 2-1 to Tusker last week bounce back to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win over KCB Football Club.

In the early kick-off match, Boniface Muchiri gave the soldiers the lead at the half-hour mark before Geoffrey Onyango's deflected free-kick leveled the scores in the 36th minute.

Two quick-fire goals from Fortune Omoto and Tyson Otieno in the 42nd and 44th minute gifted Sharks an unforeseen 3-1 halftime lead.

Hillary Simiyu pulled a goal back with 20 minutes left on the clock but the damage was already done as the Sharks held on to win 3-2.

Victory takes Sharks to third in the standings on four points same as Bandari who drew 0-0 against Nzoia Sugar on Saturday.

In the late kick off wounded Homeboyz registered their first win of the 2022-2023 season after seeing off hosts KCB 1-0.

Brian Eshihanda scored the all-important goal to hand John Baraza his first win in charge at Homeboyz.
