John Stones is reportedly facing dressing room jibes from rival footballers over his off-the-field exploits.

Manchester City defender Stones reportedly walked out on his childhood sweetheart Millie Savage and their daughter shortly before Christmas last year.

Stones had been in a relationship with Millie for nine-years before he moved out of their £3.4million family home.

The centre back then began dating ex-beautician Olivia Naylor, 30, who was already pregnant, soon after the split having hit it off on a night out.

And Stones' love life has apparently been the talk of dressing rooms up and down the country, with the England ace ridiculed on group WhatsApp conversations.

“John is getting a ribbing, partly because Olivia knows other players," a source told the Sun.

“The truth is that John doesn’t like Olivia and him being the centre of attention and gossip.

“Lads are having a dig because they’re saying, wrongly, that he left his partner and daughter for Olivia.

“However the truth is that John and Millie had split up long before he got together with Olivia.”

Stones had been dating Millie since they were 15 after meeting at Penistone Grammar School, South Yorkshire, aged 12, while he was still in Barnsley's academy.

The 25-year-old sportsman proved his love for Millie, 24, with a tattoo on his arm after being accused of cheating on her in 2016.

The £150,000-a-week player is now thought to be living in a £6,000-a-month apartment in Manchester, in the same block as his manager Pep Guardiola.

Stones is currently on international duty with the Three Lions in the UEFA Nations League, with Gareth Southgate's side taking on Switzerland in the third-place play-off on Sunday.

He was culpable for his nation losing to Holland in the semi-final when his mistake allowed the Dutch to net in the 3-1 extra time defeat - although Southgate backed him following the gaffe.

“He knows that I am here to support him,” Southgate said. “I know he is going to get criticism, and he’s had a difficult end to the season in that he was not playing regularly at his club.

"We still think he has been our best centre-back, that he has huge qualities and huge potential to be a top player, but he had so little football at the end of the season that the sharpness and fatigue as the game wore on were definitely factors.”
