Mino Raiola has reportedly had his transfer ban suspended this summer - a move which could have huge consequences for Matthijs de Ligt and Paul Pogba.

The super-agent - who boasts Manchester United star Pogba and Ajax captain De Ligt among his clients - was last month slapped with a ban from dealing with transfers anywhere in the world.

Raiola had previously been handed the three-month ban from working within Italy, and then FIFA took on the ban which was due to run until August 9.

The decision would have prevented the agent from officially doing any deals in the English summer transfer window, given that closes on August 8, one day before his ban was due to be lifted.

However, the Daily Mail has claimed that the Court of Arbitration for Sport have opted to suspend the ban, a decision that will allow him to do business this summer.

And he could be set for a busy few months with arguably his biggest client, Pogba, linked with a summer switch from Manchester United to Real Madrid.

A host of European heavyweights, meanwhile, are queuing up to sign De Ligt after an impressive season which saw him lead the Dutch side to the Eredivisie title and the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Despite reported interest from the likes of Manchester United and LiverpoolBarcelona have long been considered the favourites to sign the Dutchman.

After announcing the ban back in May, a FIFA statement said: “The chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee has today decided to extend the sanctions imposed by the FIGC on the intermediaries Carmine (Mino) and Vincenzo Raiola to have worldwide effect.

“Carmine Raiola is suspended for a period of three months and Vincenzo Raiola for a period of two months.”

Raiola immediately hit back at the decision and was quick to criticise the Italian Football Federation.

His statement said: “I guess the FIGC has not forgiven me when I have diffused my critics for their role in the disastrous state of Italian football, as well as their role around the latest episode of the racism problem and my opinions could have had an influence in the evaluation of the matter.”
