Buruburu beat Kaya Tiwi to end 18-year drought as Kakamega lift 15s title

After many years of near misses, heartbreak and pain, Buruburu girls finally got it right as they were crowned this year’s Brookside Term One games girls basketball champions. 

Determined not to suffer another heartbreak, the gritty Buruburu held the nerve yesterday to beat last year’s winners Kaya Tiwi 43-41 and reclaim the title they last won in 2000.
