After an impressive show in the season, Nakuru RFC are keen to reclaim the Kenya Cup League title, which has eluded them for four years.

The team won back to back titles in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons. They will host Mwamba in the Kenya Cup League quarter-final play-offs on April 27.

But they will first meet Kenya Commercial Bank in the quarter-finals of the Enterprise Cup at KCB Sports Ground in Nairobi this Saturday ahead of the Great Rift 10-aside championships at Nakuru Athletic Club on April 19-21.

Wanyore drubbed Western Bulls 37-0 at Nakuru Athletics Club to qualify for Enterprise Cup quarter-finals.

"The two tournaments will help us gauge our strength as we prepare to reclaim Kenya Cup league title," said head coach Mitch Ocholla.

Nakuru RFC finished fourth to qualify for quarter-final play-offs with 47 points from 16 matches behind leaders Kabras Sugar (74), Kenya Commercial Bank (72) and Kenya Harlequins (53 points).

Ocholla said he will be cautious on the knockout stages of the Kenya Cup League play-offs and other tournaments. He said they will take a match at a time and keen not lose matches, especially teams like Kabras and KCB that beat them earlier in the season.

Kabras lost to KCB while the bankers bowed to Nondescripts, who did not qualify for the quarter-final play-offs.

Other teams that qualified for the playoffs were Mwamba and Resolution Impala Saracens.

“We are not ready for a second defeat, especially from teams that beat us in the preliminary matches. We will not underrate any team," he said.

Nakuru RFC are preparing for Great Rift 10 aside contest.
