Manchester United look to go fourth with win at Fulham

With Liverpool dropping points for the second game in a row, the title race in the FA Premier League is beginning to open up once again. And this coming Su8nday afternoon (10 February) defending champions Manchester City will look to make top spot their own when they host Chelsea. On Saturday, a resurgent Manchester United can break back into the top four with victory over Fulham and depending on how other results go.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, the clash between Fulham and Manchester United at Craven Cottage. The London club are in free fall right now, having lost four of their last five league outings and sitting next to bottom in the league, seven points from safety and with the worst defensive record in the division.

Manchester United, in stark contrast, have been in resurgent form since Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer took over as boss. They have won seven of their last eight league games and now sit just two points behind Chelsea in fourth spot – the Red Devils are at 2.37 to finish in the top four come the end of the season.

And it is of little surprise to see that it is United who come into this match as the red hot favourites to take the points. You can back the visitors to continue their recent form at just 1.61 while Fulham, despite home advantage, are out at 5.00 to bag a vital win – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.00, according to Oddsshark.

United should win this match with relative ease. A comfortable, 3-1 win for the Red Devils is priced competitively at 13.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you could more than triple your money by backing a combo bet of a United win, coupled with both teams to score, at 3.10.

Given the fact that Fulham have such a poor defensive record, United will surely look to get at them from the very first whistle. It may therefore, be an idea to back over 0.5 goals in the first 10 minutes at 4.00, while United are at 7.00 to be ahead by the end of that time period.

City to keep up winning streak at Chelsea

And the following day, defending champions Manchester City will look to keep up their recent winning streak at home against Chelsea. Of course, by the time of that game, Pep Guardiola’s side could already be back top of the table – they host Everton on Wednesday night, where a win will see them head to first place on goal difference.

City have won five of their last six league games and are the leading scorers in the league by some distance. Following Liverpool’s second disappointing draw in a row City are back as favourites to win the league title and are priced at just 1.83 to do so.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have lost two of their last three league games, both defeats coming on the road. Having been early contenders for the title the Blues have slipped down to fourth place in the standings, and they are short at 1.61 to finish the season in the top four.

For this game, however, it is City who are the clear favourites to pick up the win. You can back the champions to take all three points at just 1.45, while Chelsea are out at 6.50 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.50.

We are fully expecting City to show their dominance on Sunday. A 3-0 victory for the home side comes in at 12.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$60 payout, while you could more than double your money by backing a combo bet of a City win, coupled with a “no” to both teams scoring, at 2.62.

The champions should dominate this game from start to finish and that is where the profits should lie. They are at 2.20 to score in both halves, while you can back them at 3.75 to actually go out and win both halves.
