Jose Mourinho's next job is lined up less than a month after Man Utd sacking

Jose Mourinho is set to be seen on screen for the first time since being sacked by Manchester United as he joins beIN Sports in Qatar as an analyst for this month's Asian Cup.

The 55-year-old was dismissed by United last month following a dismal first half to his third season in charge.

Since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, United have won all five of their matches in charge, scoring 16 goals.

So it will be fascinating to see if Mourinho references events at his now former club when he appears on screen for the tournament in the United Arab Emirates, which began on January 5.

But his primary job there will be to analyse stars such as Tottenham's Son Heung-min, who will be hoping to make it all the way through to the Abu Dhabi final on February 1.

It has also been reported that the £15million compensation package United paid to Mourinho following his sacking means that he is free to return to managerial work.

A source told the Mail Online: "There are no issues over Jose’s contract with Manchester United. Everything has been sorted.

"Jose is able to take on another job right now but is in no rush. He is very relaxed about it and would be happy to wait until the end of the season if he needs to."
