Alexis Sanchez is set to miss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first training session at Manchester United.
Solskjaer has taken over as interim manager at Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho was axed earlier this week.
The Norwegian will take charge of his first session on Thursday ahead of this weekend's trip to former club Cardiff.
But he won't be able to call on former Arsenal star Sanchez, who celebrated his 30th birthday earlier this week.
He was pictured at his home in Chile with family and friends and seemed to be in good spirits as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Sanchez jetted out to his homeland earlier this month after picking up a hamstring injury.
Jose Mourinho confirmed he was unlikely to play for around six weeks and he is set to return in January.
It remains to be seen if Sanchez is given a more prominent role under Solskjaer after slipping down the pecking order under the former boss.
Another player who was on the sidelines under Mourinho was Luke Shaw.
The England left-back missed United's last two matches amid reports he had a back problem.
But it has been suggested that Shaw was involved in another spat with Mourinho, with the Portuguese deciding to leave him out.
