PSG superstar Neymar breaks silence on potential Manchester United move at awards night

Neymar has branded the constant rumours he is on his way to either Manchester United or Real Madrid as "a bit annoying".

As revealed by the Sunday Mirror, United are lining up an offer in excess of £200million to bring Neymar to Old Trafford.

La Liga giants Real are still the front runners to sign the Brazilian superstar - who only moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record £198m last summer.

United are still in with a hope of bagging Neymar as his father Neymar Santos Snr, who closely manages his career, supports the Red Devils.

But Neymar, who is recovering from a broken foot, has attempted to shut down the speculation regarding his future - for now at least.

"All transfer windows, we talk about these things," Neymar told L'Equipe. "I'm not in a moment to talk about anything.

"Everyone knows what I came here to do, the goals I have.

"Now, my goals is to do the World Cup, not to talk about transfer or not, I spend my whole life, every transfer window, we talk about it, it's a bit annoying."

Neymar appeared at the UNFP awards ceremony on Sunday as he was handed the Ligue 1 Player of the Year gong.

Compatriot Ronaldo presented him the trophy in Paris, with teammates Kylian Mbappe awarded the Best Hope prize as PSG dominated the do.

Earlier, Neymar walked around the Parc des Princes stadium with the rest of the title winning PSG players after they were handed the Ligue 1 trophy.

PSG would have been boosted in their hopes of keeping hold of Neymar, as the 26-year-old posted a picture of himself in next season's kit.

Neymar, who has netted 26 times in 29 appearances for the French side, accompanied the story with the message: "Proud to wear the new jersey and to continue giving you joy," Neymar wrote on social media.

The forward, who has been away from action since February, is expected to make his return to action in time for Brazil's opening World Cup fixture against Switzerland on June 17.

According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo , Neymar has told club and international teammates Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Thiago Motta and Dani Alves that he plans to leave PSG if he wins the World Cup with Brazil in Russia.
