Manchester United sign midfielder ahead of transfer window

Slovakian starlet Martin Svidersky has completed his move to Manchester United.

The teenager has put pen to paper with the Red Devils and confirmed the news via his Instagram account, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Svidersky wrote on his Instagram page: "A Dream Come True. A day i will never forget. Delighted to sign my first contract with Manchester United.

"I would like to thank my family, friends but especially GOD for a big support. Many more things to come in future."

A Slovakian has never played for United since the country gained independence from Czechoslovakia in 1993 but the club has ramped up its scouting in Eastern Europe in the last 18 months.

The MEN revealed last month United have agreed a deal to sign Poland U16 captain Lukasz Bejger and scout Budimir Vujacic contacted Partizan Belgrade on behalf of United to register their interest in 18-year-old Serbian Svetozar Markovic.

Markovic made his career debut in February and has started Partizan's last four league games.

Slovenian goalkeeper Zan-Luk Leban recently had a trial at United, who previously signed Serbia youth international goalie Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in 2014 but terminated his contract after just 18 months. Milinkovic-Savic, younger brother of Lazio midfielder Sergej, had not qualified for a work permit.

Czech goalkeeper Matej Kovar trained with the United first-team earlier this month and Slovakian Fojticek has started 24 games for the U18s and U19s this term. United previously had Kacper Chorazka, now at Wisla Krakow, on trial.
