Argentina were without their skipper Lionel Messi who watched his teammates from the stands after pulling a hamstring in training. The Barcelona talisman also missed his side’s win over Italy on Friday after suffering fatigue.
The 6-1 thrashing marked their heaviest defeat to European opposition since 1958.
