Chelsea interested in another Arsenal star in the summer

Olivier Giroud joined Chelsea towards the winter transfer window deadline for £18million deal in a merry go round transfer which saw Batshuayi leaving for Dortmund and Aubameyang joining the Gunners.

Chelsea are yet again monitoring another Arsenal player to add to their squad. Wales international Aaron Ramsey is the man the Blues are reported to be eyeing for in the summer.

The 27-year-old midfielder is out of contract in the summer of 2019 and with no deal close to being signed, speculations is mounting over his future.

The player himself claimed that he has no authority when it comes to Arsenal resolving contract situations, suggesting that the Gunners have been busy tying up other contracts at the moment.

Speaking to BT Sport before their win over AC Milan Ramsey said: ‘Nothing to comment on at the moment,’

‘I think they’ve been busy to tie up other contracts at the moment.’ He added.

The Mirror reports that Chelsea are preparing for a summer shake up and are interested in reuniting him with former Arsenal teammate Olivier Giroud at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard recently spoke highly Aaron and the star will be hoping to get his approval.

‘He is class when at his best and I do feel there is another level for him to strive for. He showed great quality at the 2016 European Championship.’ Lampard said.
